Making Memories with Freshly Picked

October 11, 2016 by Jessica 6 Comments

If you’ve been around for awhile, you have heard me gush about Freshly Picked moccs a time or two by now.  Well, our passion for FP is still going strong, and it seems that as time passes, our family continues to make memories while rocking these shoes.

The love affair began for us when Ella came along. Not only did I love the way that the moccs looked on her teeny tiny feet, but I loved how buttery soft the leather was, and that the company offered so many fun color choices and prints.  Each time she outgrew a pair we added another (or two), and before I knew it, we had a beautiful collection, in a rainbow of colors.

When I look at her mocc collection now, I can almost see all over again; her reaching milestones for the first time in them.  As she grew and became more mobile, her little feet imprinted on the bottoms, and I still remember fondly, the day that she took her first steps while wearing her weathered brown moccs. That pair in particular will always hold a special place in my heart, and I love the fact that her footprint will forever be stamped on the bottom of those shoes.

Naturally when we found out that we were expecting Theo, the first pair of shoes that we purchased for him was a pair of Freshly Picked crib moccs.  When they arrived in the mail, I couldn’t even handle how cute they were.  They were the tiniest moccasins I have ever seen, and they made me even more excited about his impending arrival. Sadly, he has already outgrown that pair, and is on to his second, but I love that another one of our babies is making memories in Freshly Picked shoes.

My hope is for Theo to someday take his first steps while wearing his FP mocks just like his big sister, so that I have another pair of shoes to hang on to and treasure from that special moment.

I often think about how cool it will be to pull these moccs back out some day to show my kids when they are older.
