Playroom Toy Organization

I swear that I have been trying to get our playroom together to share a reveal with you guys for at least two years now. While I promise that it will make its way here to the blog eventually, at the moment, I’m finding myself totally overwhelmed by the amount of new toys that have made their way into our home over the holidays. I need to tackle that issue first (#priorities), before I move on to the more glamorous and exciting things, so bear with me. Don’t get me wrong, I feel truly blessed that my kids are fortunate enough to receive so many gifts from all of our loved ones, but if I’m being honest, we are running out of room to store everything and I’m fairly certain at this point, we own toys that my kids don’t even know exist.  Sometimes a good purge is so necessary, and it feels really good to pass along our gently loved toys to kids who will love them like new all over again.

In my quest to get it together this year, and finally organize all. of. the. things., I’ve been searching high and low for bins, cubbies, and baskets to help store all of our goodies, but that still look stylish and don’t make our home feel like a kindergarten classroom (not that there’s anything wrong with that!). Today I’ve rounded up some of my favorite pieces in terms of storage and organization, so that if you too feel like you are drowning in Paw Patrol figures and art supplies, you can find the inspiration you need to declutter!

I should note, that some of my favorite stores to find baskets and cute bins are Homegoods, and Michael’s, especially when I can take advantage of a 40% off coupon! When all else fails, just stuff everything into a bin… that’s what I do!

I feel you! Parker has so many toys. It looks like we have 3 kids! I’m all about storage bins. I have two nice baskets in our living room with toys she plays with daily and the rest is stored in her room. I just got rid of all her baby toys and it felt so good!

At the moment, we have toys in basically every room of the house… which is why it’s time to donate some stuff!
