Caramel Candy Bar Cheesecake

I have a confession to make. As much as I love to bake, I have never before made a cheesecake at home. I don’t know why, but to be honest, I’ve always been a little intimidated by the process. Like there might just be one too many steps involved, or special equipment required, and even though I am a HUGE cheesecake fan, I’ve just never been brave enough to take on the task… until now. I don’t think that it’s any secret that the best cheesecake ever comes from my absolute favorite restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory (coincidentally they also make the best avocado egg rolls you’ll ever eat too!), and they’ve finally created boxed Mixes inspired by their incredible cheesecake, so that you can make them at home.

Their Mixes, designed to be made in your very own home, come in three flavors; classic, strawberry, and salted caramel, and they are the perfect vehicle for getting creative and making some unique cheesecake flavors, and/or toppings of your own. When I got my hands on the salted caramel flavor, I was immediately inspired to add my favorite candy bar as a topping, in addition to the caramel sauce that came in the box… you know, the one… with peanuts, caramel, nougat and milk chocolate!

The Cheesecake Factory’s At Home Mixes couldn’t make it any easier to make an amazing cheesecake at home, even for the novice chef. They don’t require anything more than a round cake pan, some cream cheese, and a few additional ingredients. In minutes (and very few steps), I had a cheesecake on its way into the oven, and I could hardly wait for it to be done. While it was baking, I chopped up one of those candy bars that I love so much (and maybe snuck a bite or two), and prepared the caramel sauce for when the timer went off.

When it did, all I had to do was allow my cheesecake to cool to room temperature, then I topped it with the caramel sauce and candy bar goodness, and popped into the refrigerator for awhile. The hardest part of the entire process was waiting to eat the cheesecake itself, but let me tell you, it was more than worth the wait!!!

To make a caramel candy bar cheesecake of your own, all you need is a box of The Cheesecake Factory At Home Mix in salted caramel flavor, and one of your favorite candy bars. You can find the boxed Mixes here, then otherwise it’s up to you to get creative and have some fun!

Which flavor from The Cheesecake Factory’s At Home Mixes would you make first?
