The Simple Way We Can All Help a Family In Need

September 22, 2019 by Jessica Leave a Comment

This post has been sponsored by Huggies and ShopRite, however, all of the content and opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

As parents, there are certain things we tend to take for granted. This usually doesn’t happen on purpose and more often than not, it’s out of naivety, not ungratefulness.  Parenting is one of the most consuming, and rewarding jobs there is. So, it totally makes sense that sometimes we get so busy that we forget to take a step back and recognize how fortunate we are to be blessed with all that we have been. Having the ability to purchase diapers for our children is one of those blessings.

I have had four kids. Two of them are even still wearing diapers, and yet, it wasn’t until very recently that I learned that diaper need in our country is a very real thing. Of course, I knew that there are parents out there who struggle to make ends meet. I knew that there are families out there less fortunate than our own. What I never really stopped to think about however, was that there are parents out there who regularly struggle to purchase diapers for their children. I had no idea that one in three families in the U.S. struggle with diaper need. Learning this statistic was shocking to me. Not only did it give me a new-found appreciation that we have the ability to continually provide our children with diapers without a second thought, but it also inspired me to help those parents and children who need help, and also to bring awareness to this cause.

Did you guys know that Huggies is the founding sponsor of the National Diaper Bank Network? Their No Baby Unhugged campaign has provided ongoing support for the organization and they have donated over 225 million diapers and baby wipes to date, even making donations during times of crisis.

You may be wondering how you can help. Huggies has made it super simple for all of us to help families who are struggling with diaper need. Through 9/28 when you purchase any Huggies products at ShopRite stores or at ShopRite.com, Huggies and ShopRite will donate a day’s worth of diapers to National Diaper Bank Network partners in the New Jersey and Connecticut areas. This includes any of their wide variety of diaper options. By simply choosing to purchase your Huggies products at ShopRite you can help diaper a baby in need. Together we can help donate up to 500,00 diapers.

How amazing is it that by doing something that we regularly do, like purchasing diapers and wipes, we can help another family that struggles to do just that? I love that Huggies and ShopRite have come together to take on this cause, and that they’ve made it so easy for all of us to help and contribute. This month, if you need to purchase diapers, please make the conscious effort to visit your local ShopRite store or ShopRite.com and buy Huggies. Together we can help provide diapers for children who might not have them otherwise!
